About us
Junction Four Productions is a friendly, community-based theatre company bringing great theatre to the Fylde Coast and beyond.
Founded in 1904 as the Lytham Amateur Operatic Society, we’re one of the area’s longest-running musical theatre groups. Today, we produce at least one major show each year, covering a wide mix of musical and theatrical styles. We became Junction Four Productions in 2018 to reflect that broader, more modern approach—while still proudly celebrating our roots.
Alongside our productions, we support local schools and theatre groups with set design and build, prop hire, and rehearsal space. Our studios, just off Junction 4 of the M55, includes a rehearsal rooms, a tap-grade dance floor, a props store, and a fully equipped workshop.
Whether you want to perform, join the society, or need support for your next show, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re a registered charity, with Gift Aid available on all donations—helping us keep theatre thriving in our community.

Join the Junctioneers
Do you enjoy organising, painting, creating, or designing? Are you available on Saturdays between 9:30am and 1:00pm?
If so, we would love to welcome you to the Junctioneers. Each Saturday morning, our team comes together to support customers, organise the workshop, and work collaboratively on the design and construction of scenery and props. We also prepare and coordinate orders, ensuring everything is ready and presented to a high standard for collection. As we continue to grow, we are developing a well-structured and accessible storage space, making it easier for customers to view and select from our range.
It’s a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone can contribute, learn new skills, and be part of something creative. With breakfast available and a fresh brew always on hand, we aim to make every session both productive and enjoyable.
Whether you have experience or are simply keen to get involved, we would be delighted to have you join us.
Community
At the heart of Junction 4 Productions are our people.
We are proud to play an active role within the local community, both through theatre and wider community initiatives. Whether it’s our members performing on stage, taking part in singing or drama sessions, or our dedicated team of volunteers supporting behind the scenes, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone across the Fylde Coast.
As we continue to grow, our aim is to develop a welcoming space with flexible, usable areas that benefit both our members and the wider community. We strive to ensure that Junction 4 is not just a theatre company, but a place where people can connect, learn, and feel part of something positive.
We are also passionate about promoting mental health awareness and helping to break down the stigma surrounding it. We believe that creative and social group activities can play a vital role in supporting wellbeing, encouraging open conversation, and building confidence. In recent years, we have hosted community coffee mornings and fundraising events in support of mental health initiatives, including raising funds for Time to Change.
